Ronald Lightcap

Ron was born and raised in Delaware. He was interested in art at an early age. In 1960, he graduated from the Famous Artists School of Commercial Art and Illustration in Westport, Connecticut. However, he pursued a career in banking.

Ron married Ruthann in 1967 and they raised their two daughters in the suburbs of Philadelphia. In 2000, he and Ruthann relocated to Long Neck, Delaware where he picked up the brush and returned to his childhood love for art.

Much of Ron's work is from life's early memories and local areas of interest in Sussex County. His work has won several awards.
