Jimmy Merchant

If you know the song, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love", you know Jimmy Merchant. He was a "Teenager"; as in Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers. In 1955, their song was number 1 in the country and it has since become a rock and roll classic.

Now this member of the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame is pursuing a career as a fine artist.

Jimmy has been painting and drawing for years. When he started he was doing it for his own enjoyment and relaxation. It made him feel good.

He works with oils, pencils, pens, charcoals, and even paper collages. He works on canvas, paper, and other surfaces. His paintings run the gamut from classical to abstract.
