Jeffrey M. Twilley Jeff was born in Dover, Delaware. He graduated from Delaware Technical college in 1984 and worked as a draftsman. Jeff began painting in the late 1960s. Art was his college minor and his father was also an artist. Jeff paints with acrylics and watercolors. He is inspired by the beach and this is often a subject for his work. He was also impressed by the paintings of Claude Monet which he saw in Paris. In the mid 90s, Jeff suffered a brain tumor. The operation left him in a wheelchair, but he was determined to return to normal functioning. Within months of his operation, he was again walking, but he still has some motor and speech impairment. Jeff lives independently and devotes himself to his art. He is most proud of his independence. Jeff sold his first painting in 1995. His work can be seen at the Dover Art League and the Rehoboth Art League. He now has a studio in Dover, and that is where he does most of his painting. Painting is not easy for Jeff. He has trouble getting his arm to move the way he wants it to and it takes a long time for him to do each piece. Despite this, he remains undeterred in his pursuit of artistic excellence.
