Diane is a Native American. Her mother is Cherokee and her father is Creek. She was born in New Jersey and has an identical twin sister.

When Diane was in her early 20s she was living in Oklahoma. That is where she began painting. She took private lessons for 4 years.

Diane describes her herself as "quiet". She says she keeps to herself on the 80 farm she lives on in Delmar, Delaware. She enjoys painting portraits and pictures having to do with horse racing.
