Clare King
Clare King moved to the Eastern Shore in 1973. She is primarily a portrait artist and she is equally comfortable using either pastels or oil paints. She has been a member of the Rehoboth Art League for many years and has won awards for "Traditional Painting", "Second Best of Show", and "People’s Choice" at the League's shows. Clare took art classes at the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Gaslight Gallery in New Jersey. She has also taken classes with contemporary artists such as Al Gury, Pat Carter, and Betty Hessemer. In the last several years Clare has expanded her works to include seascapes and landscapes.
